Elisa's practice incorporates kitsch and 'hyper'feminine clichés to offset the white cube's lack of public accessibility and how we connect with art in general. Elisa accomplishes this by creating overly saturated tactile pieces that mimic the sensation of being in a cartoon.

Elisa is part of ELLSQUARED is a Liverpool-based craft and textile duo.For more than three years, they have been honing their rug-tufting skills and finding out new ways to transform wool into pieces of art.

This work is featured as part of the Convenience Store at the Manchester Contemporary in 2023.
