Ella Matthews is a Liverpool based artist and curator, specialising in interactive exhibitions and textile-based artworks. Her work derives from her interest in the domestic, humour and how the gallery can be transformed through use of the familiar. 

Ella Matthews is part of ELLSQUARED a Liverpool-based craft and textile duo. For more than three years, they have been honing their rug-tufting skills and finding out new ways to transform wool into pieces of art.

This work is featured as part of the Convenience Store at the Manchester Contemporary in 2023.
